A higher bird population in your garden is nature’s way of helping your garden flourish by providing a pleasant and charming vibe, which can reduce stress but can also bring a variety of other benefits including higher flower pollination, weed control and the deterrence of pests without the need for harsh chemicals or difficult techniques.

Stay in Style

A fantastic way of attracting birds to your garden is to add somewhere cosy and secure to nest.

Make sure your nesting box or bird hotel is in a suitable area. Just like bird feeders, avoid areas exposed to harsh winds and direct sunlight.

Check out our range of bird feeders and hotels where you'll find a wide variety ranging from tree mounted bird boxes to free standing open face nest boxes.

Bird Feeder Set Up

Undoubtedly, the best way to attract birds to your garden is to set up an attractive and reliable bird feeder.

Ideally, install your bird feeder in an area with enough space but not exposed to strong winds, a quiet location and somewhere where birds have a good view of their surroundings while feeding.

Furthermore, ensure your bird feeder is stocked with quality bird feed, such as suet balls or a variety of seeds, which are also available as part of our bird care range.

Include a Water Source

Along with being fed, birds need to be well watered. Consider installing an effective bird bath in order to increase bird numbers in your outdoor space.

Our bird baths come in a variety of sizes and designs for different locations and environments. From chic, simple bird baths to large, solid baths which can act as a main feature to any garden.

Following these simple steps will ensure your bird bath is more attractive and will maximise its potential:

- Ensure it is clean.

- Melt any ice forming on your bird bath with warm water.

- Replace with fresh water daily.

Know What Food Birds Like

It is important to be aware of what food birds prefer. Knowing this will make attracting birds to your garden much easier.

Naturally, when thinking of bird food, people usually go for seed mix. This is a strong, versatile choice and will provide birds with a varied diet for a large number of birds at a cost effective price.

Suet balls are ideal for winter months or colder climates as they provide birds with much needed fat and protein and calories to get through those cooler days.

Additionally, mealworms can be another reliable food source for attracting birds to your garden. Another reliable source of protein and vitamins and can be used for a wide variety of birds throughout the year.
