International Women's Day 2023
To celebrate International Women’s Day, we’d love to share with you our stories, experiences, thoughts and plans on what this day means for us individually and women across the world along with our thoughts on being part of the Marco Paul family.

This day shows how strong women are, regardless of what they are going through on a daily basis. It shows we can get up, wipe away our own tears and get on with it, even though we may be struggling on the inside every hour of every day. I hope I can portray this to my daughter and she grows up a strong, independent woman.
After working for Marco Paul for over four years, its amazing to be a part of the journey the company has gone through, getting bigger every year. The whole team are like a family and even though I work from home the majority of the time, I still feel like a part of that and never feel left out of anything - apart from lunch orders!

I believe International Women's Day is about promoting women's rights.
At Marco Paul, I have learned to interact with people better and gained a lot of knowledge and skills related to stock control. It feels like a big family with all the staff, the benefits are great and I really enjoy the Fun Friday's we have.
A recent challenge I overcame was to give myself a strict, challenging time limit to empty the back stockroom with David, I felt a good sense of achievement after this.
In my free time, I enjoy reading and going for walks, enjoying the outdoors.

I believe International Women's Day is an opportunity to promote equality in not only the workplace but in everyday life, showing just how amazing women are and how much they deserve equal rights and opportunity.
I currently study business management and marketing which Marco Paul are supporting me in. I'd like to develop my communication and marketing skills and Marco Paul are providing such an opportunity with a great mentor helping me upskill and grow confidence.
I am a qualified paddle board instructor working in my free time for an organisation aimed at making paddle boarding accessible to everyone, removing barriers, supporting veterans, physically impaired, neurodivergent and vulnerable people, allowing everyone to enjoy the sport.

To me, International Women's Day celebrates women's achievements in and out the workplace, sport, business and science and to encourage women to excel.
I spend my free time on my PC and streaming on Twitch since I always win online and can beat the boys on male dominated platforms. More women should play video games, I also met some of my absolute best friends through video games. I also love going to football and ice hockey often.
At Marco Paul, I love how welcoming everyone is. It's a family company but everyone has a great time working and, really feels like you're part of the family. Picking up new systems has been a learning experience, I'd like to learn more Excel skills as it's literally a superpower for a purchasing assistant.

The best thing about working for Marco Paul is the team. We are family run and feels like a large family. There is a genuine, true feeling that we all care for each other.
To me, International Women's Day means lifting each other up and supporting each other.
In my free time I love travelling with my husband and taking care of my dog.

I believe International Women's Day is an opportunity to be thankful for what we have in this generation compared to generations in history where women were treated very unfairly. Improvements have been made today, however we still have a long way to go in terms of gender affairs.
Additionally, I feel it is a day for women to focus on self-care and self-esteem.
In my free time I enjoy playing music as it helps me relax and turn my mood around.

International Women's Day is a great way to show we've gotten over a lot of gender discrimination.
The best thing about working at Marco Paul is the staff. We always have a great laugh together and someone is always there to help you out.
I'd like to share a challenge I overcame, while being on maternity leave I was worried about balancing work with childcare but Marco Paul were great in supporting me and helping me settle back in well after nine months away.

To me, International Women's Day represents girl power.
At work, I love that we all get noticed for the work we all do and the appreciation our office and warehouse teams have for each other. I also feel that Marco Paul has given me the opportunity to get over my anxiety of communicating to customers over the phone. I'm also a big fan of Fun Fridays, the people are the best thing about Marco Paul.
Recently, I have overcame the challenge of being confident enough to travel myself and overcoming grief and loss but still having a positive outlook on life. Another challenge I am currently tackling is to not give up on my driving test.
In my free time, I love travelling to new places and love my cutest fur baby giraffes!

International Women's Day to me signifies the need for change and increased awareness so that each and every individual is given the right tools and opportunities to be treated equally. Although this doesn't always happen, the need to spread awareness of this is a first step in the right direction for people to consider the choices they make.
Working here makes you feel valued as a team member due to it being a small family business, instead of being just a number elsewhere. Also, my confidence has definitely grown. I enjoy being involved in sharing and building off each other's ideas.
I currently work alongside Caitlin with social media channels. I'd love to learn some of her skills regarding marketing as I find this very interesting.

I feel that the best thing about working at Marco Paul are the people I work with. I embrace the day to day challenges, making sure all customer orders are sent out in time and in perfect condition.
In the future, I hope to gain more experience, skills and knowledge of the logistics side of the company.
I do boxing as a hobby, which is a great way to release stress. I am also a coin collector and I'm finding this very addictive.
